Tiffany Turner’s book “The Lost Secret of Dragonfire” is an exciting children’s story about fairies and ‘Crystal Keepers’. Many people don’t believe fairies are real, but they do exist. Just ask Wanda, a typical 6th grader and her friend Edina are ‘Crystal Keepers’. However, Edina has been taken by the Balkazaar, and evil sorcerer. Now it is up to Wanda to find her friend and it is not going to be easy.
Zoey: At first I liked the book, but I don’t read books about fairies much so it was hard for me to follow this story. About half-way through the book I lost interest. There was too much going on and too much to remember. I know many kids like to read stories like this, but I just had a hard time finishing this book. My Nana said this was Book 3, so I guess if I read the first two books, I might have been more interested. I gave the book to a friend of mine who likes to read about fairies and she really liked it.
Nana: Zoey had a hard time reading this book. She really is not into reading about fairies and ‘Crystal Keepers’. She really lost interest, however, she did finish the book after much prodding. I asked her to tell me what she read and she said it was just too much for her to read, too many things going on at once. I read the book and understood it, however, I think that only a select few will read “The Lost Secret of Dragonfire” by Tiffany Turner due to all the action that is taking place and if they are really interested in this topic.
