From the moment we picked up “Animal Spots and Stripes” and Miles caught a look at the book, he was very excited. He isn’t full of vocabulary yet so I have to assume the loud squeals and yells for this book meant he loved it.
We sat down to read it for the first time right around bedtime. He was so excited to see the animals and all the vibrant colors. Each page was full of wonderful creatures and a surprise behind each flap that opened up. He was very happy to open the end of each page to see what was there. After two or three reads, Miles managed to get so excited he ripped some of the pages. He has been yelling and pointing to read the book more than once a day.
I can safely assume its okay to speak for him and say that he loves “Animal Spots and Stripes” by Britta Teckentrup. I personally love it too! It’s simple enough to keep his attention for the entire read and that exciting to him to want to read it over and over. Since he is so rough with the pages, I have to keep it up on the shelf so we can enjoy it over and over again. We love, love, love it!
