Miles loved “Cat Tale” by Michael Hall to pieces! He loves cats so much. He repeated back most of the words. This book kept his attention pretty well. I like the flow of the words and how they move right along to the next meaning. For instance “They pack some books and kitty chews. They choose a spot. They spot some ewes.” And “They flee a steer. They steer a plane. They plane a board.”
It is a neat concept to incorporate words that are the same in sound but have different meanings and sometimes spellings. Showing the way something is used in a sentence or a particular way it is spelled can make it mean different things. Although, today at the age of two, Miles does not know too much about English, this will come in handy very soon!!
We really enjoyed reading “Cat Tale” by Michael Hall!
