“Wiggle” by Taro Gomi was a wondrous delight for my two little girls. A board book with interactive pages that made the colorful pictures come to life with whimsical fun for children.
Serenity could not get enough of poking her little fingers through the holes as she laughed when each picture came to life as she wiggled her fingers back and forth. The book was easy for her to hold and the vibrant colors kept her attention as she giggled at each picture. Eliana also liked how she could make the pictures come to life and she enjoyed reading with me as she recognized each of the animals in the pictures. The girls thought the Chameleon was the funniest when they used their finger to make his tongue stick out.
I would recommend “Wiggle,” by Taro Gomi, for anyone looking for a child’s first book. The construction of the book is durable and the book itself is very easy to hold for little hands. The author did a wonderful job of making the animals come to life for the children through finger play. The sentences were short with small words for children to sound out. My girls loved this book and we will be looking for more books by this author in the future.
