The story of the first Christmas is told simply in this colorful puzzle book. As the story progresses, children are able to remove the chunky puzzle pieces and return them. They are also able to connect them to make a stand up Nativity scene. The pieces store in the pages of the box attached to the book.
“Mary sees the angel. She is going to have a baby. God’s baby. The mommy and daddy go to have the baby. There was no room. They stayed in a barn. They put Jesus in a basket of hay! Mary had a little lamb. Angels came again.”
“The Newborn King” is great for young kids, age 0-3. I loved the illustrations and colors. The pieces are easy to remove and place in the book again. We weren’t able to connect the pieces like the box states you are able to. I am also not a fan of the storage designated for the puzzle pieces. If you use this book as a learning puzzle and store the pieces in the actual book it is great! The story is simple and short, great for small attention spans. Overall it’s a fun puzzle for young children and a great story in the same package. It’s just not the best product in its category.
