“Dirt on My Shirt” by Jeff Foxworthy is extremely funny and I could not stop laughing from the first page to the end of the book. The author’s mixture of funny poems and illustrations are a must for anyone who enjoys a good laugh. My favorite poems were the ones about the relatives; from Uncles to Aunts to Brothers and Sisters, there is something funny to write about them all.

The names the Jeff Foxworthy comes up with just make the poems even funnier, like the poem “Uncle Ed and Aunt Foo Foo.” I enjoyed reading this to my brothers and sisters just to see their reaction to the poems. My sister’s favorite was “Making Friends” - she said it was silly but had a nice meaning in the poem. My Dad liked the poem “Are We There Yet?” because he said that is exactly how he feels when our family takes a ride anywhere. There is something in “Dirt on My Shirt” for everyone in your family to enjoy.

I would recommend “Dirt on My Shirt” by Jeff Foxworthy for all ages who like to read short, funny poems with illustrations that make you laugh along with it. I liked it so much I will definitely be looking for more stories by this Jeff Foxworthy.
