“Kurt, Gert, Jazmine, and Bagel” by Irene Dolnick is the story of three dogs that were friends. On a very cold day Jazmine saw through their window how Kurt and Gert were playing and warm inside the home and she felt lonely and jealous. As she was walking in the cold, it felt she was doing it for hours, then she saw a black and brown cute dog that was like her, cold and alone. When they were close they fell in love and were happy to meet a new friend that was feeling the same cold weather. They got hungry and went to eat at a warmer place, she took him to her favorite restaurant, inside they heard the chopping that was very loud and it made Bagel think of the sound of a train. He asked her to jump on a train with him to a warmer place. Jazmine liked the idea but she was afraid, but she did not want to lose him. Bagel said don’t worry we will meet new friends and share many adventures together. Jazmine called Kurt and told them how she felt when they were inside playing and she was so lonely and cold outside. She said to them she wanted to go on an adventure with Bagel. Kurt and Gert were happy and told her that they would always be friends and will share new adventures with her new friend now.

“Kurt, Gert, Jazmine, and Bagel” by Irene Dolnick is a very cute story of how we have good friends and how we meet others and also that sharing with new friends won’t make you forget your old ones. It also has the phonics sounds of some words so it will help you pronounce them better.
