“Simple Pleasures” by Jennifer Casias is a book that made me want to draw. My mom said that drawing and painting is also a simple pleasure! What I liked about the book is how we can see things that people like; animals, wind, the sun, stars and the moon too. I also liked that the words rhyme like a song but some words were hard. In the end there is a picture of kids from a school in Costa Rica. They drew the pictures in the book. Maybe I can do a book too someday!
Mom: “Simple Pleasures” by Jennifer Casias is a cute book for an awesome cause. I must say that the only problem I saw is that it seems to be geared to toddlers through kindergarten as it is a picture book, but some words were above that age level so I was a little confused about the target audience of the book. Overall, it is a beautiful poem presented in a very cute way!
