Max’s comments: “A Moment in Time” by Jennifer Butenas is about a family. They are sitting on the porch one day in rocking chairs, rocking away. It is a nice day out. The littlest boy in the family gets up and goes and gets a soda out of the refrigerator. I like when I get soda too. I don’t get it that much though, only sometimes. When he gets back with his soda, his big brother jumps off of the porch and starts dancing around in the grass.
Everyone in the family is doing something. They are all having fun. The mom takes a picture. That is why it is called “A Moment in Time” because the picture is a moment in time.
This family was like my family. I have a mom, a dad, and a big brother. We do fun stuff too. I like that the book rhymed. My favorite part of “A Moment in Time” by Jennifer Butenas was when the big brother started dancing around on the grass. I also like when the mom took the picture of them.
