The author’s main idea is to not eat so much junk food and to stay healthy.
The author, Mary Evanson Bleckwehl, did a good job of carrying out the main idea in “Henry! You’re Hungry Again?”

Bleckwehl’s book is easy to understand, makes sense, and goes in an order that is easy to follow. This book is written for kindergarteners through second graders. Sometimes I’m hungry a lot and can’t wait for lunch; so I know how Henry feels. If I eat too much junk food I feel a little sick.  I also like broccoli and spinach, but not usually as a snack. When we are in our afterschool program we get to eat things like Go-Gurt and other things that are good for you on the food pyramid.

Mary Evanson Bleckwehl should make more books like this but the teachers in the teacher’s lounge should disguise their food as fruits and vegetables then the kids wouldn’t know if they are eating junk food. I think there was too much junk food in the book and there should be more vegetables. Parker shouldn’t be telling Henry what to do and they should have talked to their teachers instead of jumping to conclusions about what they ate. The book did make sense and I really liked the pictures.

I asked some classmates what they thought of the book and they really liked that it was a health book and they liked hearing about vegetables. They thought the pictures looked funny and were realistic. A few of them thought the book was a little too long. I learned to always tell the truth and always ask before jumping to conclusions from this book. I also learned about eating healthy from this book.

I would recommend this book to my teachers, especially my PE teachers; this would be a great book for them to read to their students. I really enjoyed “Henry! You’re Hungry Again?” by Mary Evanson Bleckwehl and most of my classmates did too. I hope Henry keeps eating healthy and that Mary keeps writing books!
