“Do You Know Chameleons?” by Alain M. Bergeron and Michele Quintin is a fun book to read about chameleons.
I learned a lot about chameleons. They have a prehensile tail that they can use to hold on to things like tree branches. Chameleons walk very slowly but their tongues spring out super fast. Their long tongue moves out of their mouth in 1/125th of a second. It takes about half a second to come back into their mouth.
On each page it talks about chameleons and also has a funny drawing of chameleons usually with entertaining speech bubbles (like a comic). The illustrator did a terrific job and the chameleons are full of personality and very funny.
I would recommend “Do You Know Chameleons?” by Alain M. Bergeron and Michele Quintin to my friends who are interested in animals. It is a fast book to read and pretty informative about chameleons.
