In “The Berenstain Bears Go Green” by Jan & Mike Berenstain, the Bear family sets out into Bear Country to go fishing. While riding on the boat, they smell something stinky. Then they see something funny looking in the water. Papa quickly realized they were near the Bear Country Dump where all the trash was piled up. Mama thought the site and smell was a disgrace so she decided to talk about it in the next town meeting. At the meeting, another bear beat her to the subject. They all agreed that they needed to clean up the dump. The town bears came together to clean up the mess and sort out items that could be recycled. The clean up was a success. Sister came up with a great idea to help do their part in helping keep Bear Country clean: using reusable bags, recycling, making and using a compost, and car pool with other families. This book helps teach the moral of recycling and reducing wasteful things in all our lives. “The Berenstain Bears Go Green” by Jan & Mike Berenstain is another hit children’s book! The Berenstain Bears, you can’t go wrong!!
