“If You Take a Horse to the Gym” was funny and I learned something. I learned that eating right and going to the gym help you stay healthy and lose weight. The book was about a little girl, Nessie, and her best friend, Amy, who moved away. Nessie was so bored and lonely that she started eating too much and she got overweight. She had another friend that was a horse named Tessie that also got overweight and got hurt ankles as a result. And then Nessie dreamed that she took her horse friend to the gym. It was just a dream, but she realized she needed to exercise. She decided to exercise the horse and herself at the same time. In the end, she lost weight and she and Tessie won a ribbon in the horse show. I would recommend “If You Take a Horse to the Gym” to kids and parents and horse lovers because it’s mostly funny.
