Come aboard the “Flying Dragon” with Captain No Beard and his crew where you will learn a lesson or two. This vibrantly illustrated children’s book, “Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience: A Captain No Beard Story (Volume 2)” by Carole P. Roman, will surely knock your socks off! My son and I have reviewed a couple of the titles and “Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience” is just another amazing book to add to our collection.
Miles is so into pirates right now and combine that with his love for animals, you get one happy kid. “Arrgg” is Miles favorite thing to yell out randomly. Captain No Beard stories should be turned into a cartoon show. They are all just that good. I am not even sure that “Jake and the Neverland Pirates” has anything on Captain No Beard.
In this title, the author took us onto the pirate ship where the mates were doing their chores. They soon needed to practice in case of an emergency so they would all know what to do. Fribbit the frog, Linus the lion, Mongo the monkey, Hailey the first matey and Captain No Beard all welcome their newest crew member, Pepper Parrot.
Pepper has a bit of an attitude while working on the drills for the ship. Come to find out, Pepper didn’t know his right from left. After some team work, Pepper got it down and was able to assume a new, awesome name. Now Polly Parrot knows his right from left and doesn’t have to cry about it.
What an excellent lesson in there is no need to whine. Miles sure needed this story because whining is surely at the top of his list. He forgets he has words and can ask for help instead of crying. “Pepper Parrot’s Problem with Patience: A Captain No Beard Story (Volume 2)” by Carole P. Roman is an AWESOME BOOK!!
