“Night Buddies: Impostors and One Far out Flying Machine” by Sands Hetherington is a book about John Deraffenreidt and his crocodile friend Crosly as they go off on their wild night time adventures. When the iguanas begin impersonating Crosly, John and Crosly set forth to stop the iguanas before they go too far and destroy Crosly’s reputation beyond repair.
In the city where John and Crosly live, there are a bunch of evil iguanas that want to get back at Crosly for disturbing their food supply (in the first book). Will this mean they will go to get revenge? The iguanas, dressed like Crosly, spray paint “subway people suck slugs;” they drag around John and Crosly’s friend’s food stand with a dirt bike and spray paint two of their friends. Will John and Crosly be able to stop the iguanas or will they be driven out by unhappy city people? Read and find out.
I would recommend this book for people who like action and adventure. This book has a lot of both. I think people from 9-12 would enjoy this book the most, but people older or younger will also enjoy it. This is the second book in a series and there were a few references to the first book. I think I would have enjoyed the book even more if I had read the first book. There were a few grammar errors but not enough to make it too hard to read.
