“Flat Stanley: Show-and-Tell, Flat Stanley!” by Jeff Brown is about a boy named Arthur and his older, and slightly flatter brother, Stanley. Tomorrow is show and tell, and Arthur would love to bring Stanley to school with him to show everyone his ear trick! Though Stanley is pretty sure he knows the real reason why Arthur wants to bring him along, he keeps quiet because he knows that if he goes he’ll be able to see the prettiest teacher in school, Miss Plum. But could Arthur and Stanley ever imagine what would actually happen when they went to school that day?

"Flat Stanley: Show-and Tell, Flat Stanley!" By Jeff Brown was a fun story to go over with my son. The idea of a boy being completely flat was well, pretty cool to him (though the way he got that way wasn’t what either of us was expecting!) The story was rather sweet in its own way, showing how strong and caring two brothers’ relationship with each other could be. No matter how many times a chance came up for Arthur to say something about Stanley being embarrassed, he never did. In fact, he actually said things to make people forget about Stanley being embarrassed in the first place.  Seeing Arthur always being supportive of Stanley, and always considering Stanley and his feelings was very heartwarming because I believe that’s what being a sibling is all about.  I think my son will realize this too after reading this book after a few times and I can’t wait until that moment comes.
