As Christmas was approaching I saw “The Berenstain Bears’ Old Fashioned Christmas” by Jan and Mike Berenstain was up for review. I was so excited to be able to get a Berenstain Bear book for Miles. I just loved these books when I was a kid. Having the 50-year Anniversary edition is awesome!!!!

Miles loved naming all of the Bears. Simple enough to just call them Mama, Papa, Brother, Sister and Honey which makes it easy for him to know who they are and point them out on each page. I have to say, he made me sing jingle bells like thirty times the first time we read the book.

He loves the piano scene when the little bears are banging. He thought that was extra funny because he does the same thing on his piano at home. We decorated our Christmas tree so he knew exactly what the bears were doing. We also liked the neat idea on crafts to make homemade holiday ornaments. We will be making those next year when he can be trusted a little more with glue.

I think it excited Miles to get to bed so Santa could come. I am so glad that part was in the book and he went down easy before Santa’s arrival.

Miles really enjoyed “The Berenstain Bears’ Old Fashioned Christmas” by Jan and Mike Berenstain. We plan to keep this for years and years…and, of course, I loved it!
