Dreamdark: Silksinger (Faeries of Dreamdark)
Magpie Windwitch has been given the task of finding and awakening the last five remaining Djinn so they can fix the Tapestry. All she has to help her are her family of crows, her friend Talon, and the unpredictable power to reweave parts of the Tapestry.
At the same time, the last of the Silksingers, Whisper, is on a desperate journey to return the Azazel to his throne in Nazneen. But she is small and alone, stuck in a world that she doesn’t understand. And she is also being chased by the demons that killed her family and now are after her. On her journey Whisper meets the secretive Hirik, a mercenary who pays her passage to Nazneen for her.
When Magpie learns of Whisper, she races to Nazneen to help her. But can she make it before the devils get to Whisper and Hirik's past to his?
“Dreamdark: Silksinger” is an enchanting sequel to an enchanting story. Laini Taylor is really amazing at creating a world with its own history and full of rich life-like characters. I cheered on Whisper as she turned from a sort of damsel in distress to someone with enough backbone to give a creative-yet terrifying-end to a truly scary villain. “Dreamdark: Silksinger” is a faerie tale that I think everybody would enjoy.
