Same Ol’ Moon: The little things of life and love
I liked this because it looked like it was a poem inside a book. I was surprised that every chapter was a poem. This made it very fun to read. I couldn’t believe I read 180 pages in five days! I liked the chapter called “Catching Fog,” although it was a little weird because Precious caught fog, then let it melt, then drank the melted fog. I wish I could live on a farm with dogs, cats, cows and calves. The illustrations were beautiful and interesting. The characters are a little girl named Precious Teresa Caldwell, Papa, Mama, her brother Caleb, her dog Charlie, her cat Pepper and her friend Sissy. My favorite part of “Same Ol’ Moon” was when Papa had to go to the Army’s hospital and cure the ones who got hurt because he was helping the men and women who had were injured from the war. Another part that I liked was when Precious made her own secret place behind a hill. My favorite character is Precious Teresa and her cat Pepper. I like that she has a Southern accent too! |
